Artrage 5 forums9/5/2023 ![]() This drawing application works with its own format called ArtRage Painting (PTG) by default, but to make its compatibility higher it also allows you to import files in BMP, JPEG, GIF, TIFF, PNG, PSD and RLE format, among others, and to export to JPEG, with the possibility to adjust the image's quality. Some interesting functions it includes are the use of layers, the color options and the possibility to apply basic editing adjustments. All the options are accessible from a direct menu or a graphical icon on the screen. Create works of art on your PCĪrtRage stands out due to its comfortable and intuitive handling. Furthermore, it also offers us the possibility to select the kind of canvas or paper, and even other special effects, an option that works out essential to adjust to the texture of any painting to our own liking. This application shows on its interface, in a very appealing way, a large amount of painting and drawing tools: from the typical rubber, pencil, a roller, an airbrush, different kinds of brushes (for oil painting, watercolors.), chalk and even felt tip pens. I'm starting to look at Photoshop for digital painting, only because every piece of artwork I see is almost always done in Photoshop. The software I'm now utilizing for digital painting is Krita, Leonardo, and ArtRage. Even their tools scream, I'm just a photo editor. Fast forward to today and I'm getting back into the digital painting world and I still can't help, but look at Photoshop the same way. For digital painting, Painter was for the serious digital painter. Way back when, when I was in college, Photoshop was viewed and taught as a professional photo editing software. I think many use Photoshop because it's just what people are use to, they like the results, and the tools available within Photoshop.
